Becky is trained to the highest level of hairdressing, having achieved her Level 3 NVQ in Hairdressing. Becky loves keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and has a passion for creative colour. She offers all hair services including cutting & styling and tape extensions.

It’s hard to choose what I enjoy most, but bouncy blow-dries will always have a special place in my heart—they were the first thing I mastered and still one of my favourites to create. When it comes to colour, I’m especially drawn to balayage and rich, glossy brunettes. I love enhancing natural beauty with colour that shines.

One of the best parts of my job is connecting with clients. Sharing stories, laughs, and turning someone’s day around with great hair is what makes me proud to be a hairdresser.

My biggest inspiration is my mum. She always dreamed of becoming a hairdresser but never had the opportunity—so I followed that dream for both of us.

I’d describe myself as honest, down-to-earth, and creative. People are often surprised when I say I used to be quite shy. I’m still a quiet person at heart, but when I’m at work, I light up. Helping people feel confident and beautiful brings out the best in me.

My true passion lies in colour work, especially highlights. I love the creativity that comes with transforming a client’s look through colour. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing that dramatic before-and-after moment when the toner sets and the light catches just right. While I also enjoy cutting and styling, colour is where I really come alive.

I would describe myself as chatty, upbeat, and full of energy. I love connecting with clients, and for me, hairdressing is just as much about building trust and boosting confidence as it is about the final look. Every appointment is a chance to make someone feel like the best version of themselves.

I draw a lot of inspiration from @sarahemiliaofficial—her colour transformations are incredible, and her creativity pushes me to keep exploring and growing in my own work.

Hairdressing truly is the best job I could ask for, and I feel so lucky to spend every day doing something I genuinely love.

Hi, I’m Esme, a qualified Stylist at Leah Durrant Hair Salon. I’ve been in the hairdressing world since I was 15, starting out as a Saturday girl here at the salon during school holidays. From day one, I was captivated by the creativity of the stylists around me and the confidence they gave to every client. I knew early on this was the career for me.

Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning, growing, and turning that early inspiration into a passion-driven career.

My favourite part of hairdressing is definitely colour work. I love exploring new tones and techniques—especially when working with my blonde clients. Colour offers so much creative freedom, and the transformations it can create always excite me. Every client brings new ideas and opportunities to make something beautiful and unique.

Hair plays a huge part in how we feel about ourselves. For me, helping someone feel comfortable and confident in their own hair is the most rewarding part of what I do. Your hair matters to me as much as mine does to me—and I take great pride in helping you achieve your dream look.

I’m deeply inspired by the talented team at Leah Durrant. From my very first day, they’ve supported and motivated me. Their creativity continues to push me forward in my own journey.

Looking ahead, I’d love to work more with the older generation—people who may struggle to manage their own hair but still want to feel like themselves again. That human connection means so much.
