Hi, I’m Riah, a Stylist at Leah Durrant Hair Salon. Although I’ve been on the salon floor for just over a year, my journey in hairdressing began at 16. I started out as a junior and worked hard to build my skills and confidence, step by step, to reach the position I hold today.
My true passion lies in colour work, especially highlights. I love the creativity that comes with transforming a client’s look through colour. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing that dramatic before-and-after moment when the toner sets and the light catches just right. While I also enjoy cutting and styling, colour is where I really come alive.
I would describe myself as chatty, upbeat, and full of energy. I love connecting with clients, and for me, hairdressing is just as much about building trust and boosting confidence as it is about the final look. Every appointment is a chance to make someone feel like the best version of themselves.
I draw a lot of inspiration from @sarahemiliaofficial—her colour transformations are incredible, and her creativity pushes me to keep exploring and growing in my own work.
Hairdressing truly is the best job I could ask for, and I feel so lucky to spend every day doing something I genuinely love.
